An Overabundance of Medical Issues
In the rearview mirror: Writing Week 51 of Twenty Twenty-Four

It’s been quite a week. Last week, that is. It was a week with too many medical things happening, and not only to myself.
No, thankfully not to my husband either.
Late last week, in the middle of the night, the police called my best friend about her son. They had found him in his car, slumped over the steering wheel — unconscious. His body temperature was only 30 degrees.
The medical personnel did several tests, but couldn’t find anything wrong. He had a CT scan, and the next day had to go for an MRI. They found the results of the CT in his online file — just like I find mine every time before I speak to a medical official — and the results were extremely worrying.
He seems to have not one, but two rare conditions. My friend is worried sick about her only child. She tried to get more information about the conditions and hoped she had drawn the correct conclusions from the report they had seen. I told her about my experience with ChatGPT, where I fed a report in there, and AI totally analyzed it for me. She did the same, and the detailed information amazed her, even though the outcome was still not positive.
When she shared this news, I already had three medical appointments during the week. Depending on what I hear tomorrow, I might have two to three weeks' rest until the medical appointments start up again.
Honestly, I’ve already seen enough of the inside of the hospital, but sadly, I’m not done yet…
I know I will be fine eventually, I just hope my friend’s son will be too.
Now for something totally different. In two days time, it’s Christmas 2024.
Allow me to wish you all…
HAPPY HOLIDAYS ~ may your days be filled with love and joy!
